Aluminum Rear bumper
Here it is an Aluminum Rear Bumper for the Fox Mustang!!!
As you can see on my steel bumper I was going to drill holes but decided that was going to take far too long and too much time.
Here's the bumper mounted on the car.
Well you ask "What's it weigh?" Using some bath scales (so +/- a lb)
the steel bumper weighed in at 31 lbs. The aluminum bumper weighed
in at 12 lbs. So a savings of 19 lbs.
I searched long and hard for this following leads or myths from the internet.
I first read these were on the 4 cylinder turbo cars like SVO, but
I never found one of these in a salavage yard. I was then told the
1979 Mustang Pace Car was equiped with them and BINGO! I found this
one in a Maryland Salavage Yard via the internet. So Good Luck to you
