My1984 GT350 Anniversary Edition
This is my 1984 1/2 Anniversary Edition Mustang. I purchased
this car in 1989 while attending college at the University of
Missouri-Columbia . The car was not running when I bought it
from a local auto auction, but I was working at an auto parts
store... So never fear numerous spare parts were near.
The diagnosis was a potential cracked block due to all the freeze
plugs no longer being in the block. I then decided for a new
motor. I purchased a stock short block, added 1970's 351W heads,
and Edelbrock intake, a
Crane
cam, a 750 CFM Holley and best of all
NOS. The car ran 14.20's @ 99 MPH without the laughinggas and
13.19 @ 115 MPH on the juice. I'm on my third transmission and
second clutch. Yet the puny 7.5 inch rear end with 3.08 gears
still lives...good thing I
don't get any traction! The car currently has 120,000+ miles
(mostly 1/4 mile at a time) on it and is hardly driven.

History of Updates to my car
8/14/04 Well its been a long time since an update so here's a
page of the Mustang through the paint
process. Enjoy! I've also upgraded to a Holley Street
Dominator single plane intake and installed a new Nitrous system by NOS.
2/17/02 I have the rear end back from getting the 4.10 gears
installed and now I've begun the task of adding rear
disk brakes . Come see some how I'm doing this and some
important lessons I've learned.
1/12/02 I thought I had a bad starter so I purchased a mini
starter off of ebay. Once I began installation I discovered a bad
cable but I've now installed the mini. The header had to be
disconnected from the engine and the engine jacked up for installation
but all is back together and working well. No pics as this wasn't
a glamorous upgrade.
1/9/02 Page 2 of hide the wires is now up with more progress
being
made. I also dropped the 8.8" rear axle off at Walsh
Motorsports to have the 4.10 gears installed. So soon I'll
have a page with my near rear axle installation.
12/21/01 I've been busy adding things to the car
during my holiday, some of which have been on the shelf for a year or
so. I've installed the sub frame connectors(new), Ebiach Rear
Lowering Springs(Ebay), Competition Engineering 3-way adjustable rear
shocks(ebay), Moroso Front Trick
Drag Springs(ebay) (3.5 coils removed), 3" wheel studs on the front
rotors(new)
and some Lakewood 70/30 front struts(ebay).
11/23/01 Check out my hide the wires
project here and Page 2.
11/01/01 Big tires....see the new rear
treads here. Also added is front skinnies!
11/1/01 Hey look at my one wire alternator
.
9/9/01 I strike gold and find an aluminum
rear bumper ...See it here!
8/20/01 While continuing to tear up the Mustang in preparation
for paint, I decided to add a fiberglass front bumper from a new model
to reduce weight. See here .
6/1/00 Well I found a great fiberglass hood and since it was
black I decided I couldn't just paint the hood so I'm prepping the
whole car for paint. See some pics here.
1/29/00 All the new components are now on the car and its once
again running...but since its now winter it will just sit in the
driveway waiting for a nice warm spring day.
9/3/99 The car developed a water leak and I believe it was the
water pump gasket. So I've torn it down and ordered lots of
goodies to put it back together with. These include a stewart waterpump, a new
timing chain/gears, a flex fan to replace the thermostatic fan,
underdrive pullies and a smog pump eliminator pulley.
