This is the ReefRotor ^TMby Tanked.com.  Its a shrub sprinkler with a few modification to allowreef use.  Cheap and simple.  As you can see I've installed asiphon break to keep the water in the tank and off of the floor. In the right view I'm experimenting with an airline check valve to preventthe bypass during operation but allow a siphon break when the power iscut to the pump.  This is working good so far.

Here's my Pros/Cons list I have to date:

Pros:

• Simple-Simply screw onto a return line or mount to a powerhead and you’remaking waves.
• No Power Required
• No Programming, timers, starting or stopping of pumps
• Cheap-The ReefRotor is the best bang for the buck of all the wavemakers currently on the market.
• Effective-The ReefRotor provides for great water movement in the tank.
• Adjustable-The wide range of adjustibility (40-360 degrees of sweep) ofthe ReefRotor makes it ideal for almost any aquarium or situation
• Easily Cleaned-The ReefRotor easily unscrews from its mounting to give easy access to the internal screen for cleaning.

Cons:

• Bulky-At 7 inches in length and 1.75 inches in diameter, it provides forsome creative thinking to mount in an existing tank.
• Reduces Flow-The ReefRotor does reduce the flow of the water being passedthrough it, due to it being water driven.  With proper pump sizing this shouldn’t present a problem.
• No Siphon Break-Once again due to the length, when mounted in an inverted state a siphon break (or check valve) will be required.  For an internal tank with powerhead mount this will not be a problem.
