Fish Room
Well I have a clean slate and a basement
calling for a fish room. Since I was involved in the house
construction from day one I did plan a few items into the plans.
First off the area of the fish room has a drain in the floor.
In addition, I had it stubbed out for a utility sink.
The green shows my proposed outline of the room and the door. The
plan is to build the tank into the wall this photo is facing on the
left
of the column. Another choice is the wall under the stairs
between
the corner column and the stair landing. Keep posted to see how
it
goes.
Latest Update 12/27/02
Here's a view from the front. Just need to finish the
drywall, paint and trim. I plan on having a hinged board along
the top of the tank to fill the gap that will allow access to the tank
from the front.
Here's a behind the scenes picture. Plumbing is underway.
I'm using a 75 gallon tank as a sump and plan on having two
return pumps.
